I really love this quote because for me, coming of age isn’t just about getting older, even though I changed a lot since this picture was taken in a hockey locker room but I believe it’s more about shifting perspectives. When we’re young, we see the world as something really really simple, believing in fairy-tale endings But as we grow, we realize life is more complicated and we lose certain illusions, yet we gain new ones and start hoping in love, believing in ourselves, and start dreaming about our future. This transition can be weird, but it’s necessary. So, don’t fear losing old dreams, new ones are just waiting.
